Echo FIVE

Echo FIVE Workshop

Objective

Are you an E5 motivated to become and be the best Navy Leading Petty Officer (or other service equivalent) but are unsure just what to do when this privilege presents itself?  Or perhaps you’re currently an E5 as a Leading Petty Officer but struggling to know what to do next?  Then this workshop is for you!  The Echo FIVE workshop prepares E5's with a foundation to be a Leading Petty Officer (LPO) with a place to start.

This four day workshop focuses on John Maxwell’s sixth law of leadership, The Law of Solid Ground (21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership).  This law states "that leadership is built on a foundation of trust. If a leader doesn’t have their followers’ trust, or they’ve broken it, they can’t exert influence over those people."   All active duty, reserve, and guard E5's are welcome to attend.  The facilitators are volunteer E6's who are graduates of our Foundry leadership course.  They provide the framework and know-how on things like sponsorship, recognition, draft the initial evaluation input, time management, holding quarters, leading division physical fitness, to list a few topics. Who better to teach competence, connection, and character in order to provide guidance on a position than those successfully doing the job?
